Blood and Chocolate?

Postby Megan on Thu Feb 08, 2007 12:43 pm

Talking of werewolves...has anyone seen the new werewolf movie, "Blood and Chocolate"? I saw a preview of it, and it looked rather interesting (I liked the way they did the wolf transformation, as opposed to the normal wolf-man-aaaargh pain thing). However, I know most werewolf movies are usually either incredibly corny or overly sexed up. 'Underworld' didn't exactly confirm my faith in them, either. ;P And while it's tons of fun to make fun of the corny ones, it'd be nice to see a good one for once. So can anyone who's seen it say if it's worth the ten bucks or not?

Uhm... didn't get that one movie here in Italy... and the transformation there is just a *schwop* and a lightshow, the reason why nobody did it ever that way is that it requires less skill to do and thus it's less "valuable" and gets you less esteem for doing it. However i did not even know that there was a lunargyros forum... i think i'll stick with the comments, they are easier to spot, i am not particularly fond of forums and stuff. Sorry.

(I never ended up seeing the movie, either. :P) And that's all cool; I just thought a forum would be another way to talk with people. But comments are fine, too!

It wasn't much of a movie, i mean, it was a very good and nice change from most b-movies but still a b-movie. Threadbare plot, cheap acting, wrong music in most places, but it showed the kind of care in the making that surprised me. I would almost suggest e-muleing it... but if i were you i'd go and find a rental at least. It might have not hit the theaters but stuff like that can still be found if you have one of those faithful b-movie rental places near your house like i do.

Man the horrors i suffered due to my friends forcing some of that stuff on me. Italy has an history of b-series horrors that is horrifying for the level of unintentional comedy that arises. The thing that orrifies me is that authors like Dario Argento and others like him are PRAISED, oh, god... that is the true horror.

B-movies suffer more from e-muleing than most other productions, and since that one showed a degree of care and quality greater than most b-movies i wouldn't go and do that... i mean should that one have been the latest toxic avenger i would have said "go ahead download it, it's so bad that people deserve not to see a sequel", but that kind of stuff actually would make you feel a bit guilty (when compared to most of the stuff one can see around).
