Submitting art and story ideas

Postby krazyelfkith on Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:48 pm

Hello all,

I've tried submiting my comic for publication through the contact form a couple of times, but have yet to get any sort of reply, so I figured I'd submit again here.

I have several comic ideas, but the one I'm currently working on is To Live in Emeralds, which can be seen at http://toliveinemeralds.comicgenesis.com or http://www.drunkduck.com/To_Live_in_Emeralds . The pages on those sites are mostly experimental in style; better examples of my art can be found at my deviantART gallery at http://krazyelfkith.deviantart.com . If hired by Wirepop, I will redraw the pages currently drawn in a more manga-esque style and tone them. I've also had some experience drawing weekly comics; I drew a weekly comic for http://hj.stratics.com .

If more examples of my sequential artwork are needed, please let me know. I am proficient at toning, though there are no examples in my gallery, so if examples of that are needed they can also be sent on.

Thank you,

Kelli Gilliland

Hi,

Are one shots okay?
Cos the story im working on now is probably gonna be about 60 pages long....??? Or do yoou all only accept long epics?

And when its mentioned "must update at least once a week", does it have to be like update one whole chapter, many pages, or just one page is okay?

Would appreciate answers very much. TQ.

We prefer on-going series.

That's at least one page a week.

Yes, submissions are still open. We have new titles being added and old one leaving all the time so submissions are generally open.

Hello i have another question. Is this scratchy style ok for submissions or are you looking for clean line comics?

That's a fine style, but, yeah, probably more solid linework would fit WirePop more.

Would this be okay?

I was just wondering if a shounen-ai or non-explicit yaoi story (OT rating) would be acceptable. For those who don't know, that's a malexmale story.
Anyways, I could even provide a warning in the story synopsis so I won't scare anyone away. I hope someone can respond to this, because I really love yaoi stories. Plus, that's what I'm best at! ^.^

Well, unfortunately I had to do a little house cleaning. There were a handful of titles that haven't updated in a long while with no word from the creators.

What this means for you is that we are looking for some fresh Manga to add to the WirePop family.

Use the submission link on WirePop and send away.

We look forward to your submissions.

(Note: Not all submissions will receive a reply.)

Well, I do have a problem, I post the link here and what is your point of view about my art? Is it acceptable in WirePop?
